Sarah Mae Moody, 86, of Jemison, passed away on April 8, 2013.

She was born on Sunday, Aug. 22, 1926, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late John William Collum and the late Essie Lee Atkinson Collum.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Fredia (Johnny) Smitherman; son, Ricky Moody; son, Bobby Moody; step-daughter, Gail Smitherman; granddaughters, Carol (Dennis) Bice, Michelle (Ed) Stewart, Christy (Shane) Hay, Suzette (Scott) Rape, Bridgette (Shannon) Chandler, Susan Collum; grandsons, Jimmy (Beth) Smitherman, Josh (Brooke) Parker, Jerry Reid (Stacy) Moreland; 18 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Dot Johnson; brother, Fred Collum; special friend Euleta Guy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Moody; son, Butch Collum; son, Jerry Moody; parents, John and Essie Collum; brothers, J.W. and Leo Collum and sister, Addice Price.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on April 12 at Center Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held on April 13 at 11 a.m. at Center Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Dutton officiating.

Interment will follow in Center Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
