Richey Chad Rutherford, 61, of Orange Beach passed away on April 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on Aug. 22, 1951, the son of the late Bobby Frank Rutherford and Willodean Cleckler Rutherford.

He was a construction contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Rutherford of Orange Beach; son, Chris Rutherford and his wife Kelley of Temple, Ga.; daughter, Callie Martin of Jemison and her husband Robby Martin; daughter, Felicia Rutherford of Orange Beach; son, Austin Rutherford of Orange Beach; mother, Willodean Rutherford of Jemison; brother, Vance Rutherford and wife Michelle of Auburn; granddaughters, Krystal Rutherford, Audri Bearden, Rilee Martin, Gracelynn Rutherford and Summer Rutherford; grandsons, Grant Martin and Wade Rutherford; niece Susie Bagwell and her husband Ross and niece Sydney Rutherford.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Frank Rutherford.

Visitation was held on April 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on April 4 at 11 a.m. from Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

Burial followed in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton.
