Alabama State Troopers responded to a four-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 65 near Jemison, according to a release.

The wreck occurred at 2:40 p.m., and northbound lanes were closed until about 5:30 p.m. as emergency responders worked near the 222-mile marker.

The wreck resulted in four injuries, including one fatality. Those injured were taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center and UAB Hospital.
