Violet Price Porter Bridges, 86, of Jemison died Sunday, Aug. 19 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Sunday, March 21, 1926, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Jace Price and the late Hollie Sundberg Price.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her brother, Morris Price of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Tammy Porter of Jemison; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther Porter and Alston Bridges, and her son, Bobby Lyn Porter.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Martin Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Carroll and the Rev. J.T. Meank officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
