Evelyn Delean Cleckler, 81, of Clanton died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

She was born on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1931, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Horace Mims and the late Ella Cleckler Mims.

Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda (Jack) Hucks of Clanton and Janice (Ray) Thompson of Jemison; grandchildren, Bill and Ross Thompson, Russell Hucks and Regina Stroud; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eufula Smith and Irene Lures.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton H. Cleckler.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, July 27 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held Saturday, July 28 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Stamps and the Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating.

Interment followed in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
