Henry Matthew Burnette, 95, formerly of Clanton, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
He was born Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1914, in Chilton County, son of the late Will L. Burnette and the late Dora Ellison Burnette.
He was a coal miner.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Horn of Sho Low, Ariz.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Alberta Gilmore of Hueytown.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, March 20 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services were held Sunday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating.
Interment followed in Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison.
