George W. Moore, 95, of Alabaster died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Sunday, Feb. 20, 1916, in Chilton County, son of the late Walter Casper Moore and the late Isabell Stanfield Moore.

He was a shipping manager.

Surviving are his wife, Edith Moore; son, Roger (Judy) Moore; daughter, Joyce (John) Powell; grandsons, Frank Punch and Thomas Moore; granddaughters, Donna Hannum, Dana Gordon, Diane Barrett and Haley Moore; great-grandsons, Chase and Dylan Moore, Austin and Blake Barrett, and Luke Gordon; great granddaughters, Kelsey and Emma Punch; and Amy, Maggie, Caroline and Olivia Hannum.

Services were held Monday, June 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Coburn officiating.

Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
