A single-vehicle crash the night of May 10 has claimed the life of a Clanton man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to Alabama State Troopers, James Oneil Cooedy, 60, was traveling on County Road 2 at the intersection of County Road 3 approximately four miles south of Montevallo when the 2004 Ford F-150 he was driving went off the roadway and struck a tree.
“Cooedy was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene,” said ALEA in a release. “Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
