Chilton County Schools will be closed Jan. 29 for potential inclement weather.

Reports from the National Weather Service were calling for up to 2 inches of snow in some areas of the county when the decision was made.

“All extracurricular activities for today (Monday, January 28th) will proceed as scheduled,” the school system stated in a Facebook post. “Additional delays or cancellations will be evaluated on Tuesday.”

Chilton/ Clanton Public Library branches will also be closed on Jan. 29.
