Hope’s Chest Boutique in Clanton hosted a ribbon cutting for its new location on Dec. 7.
Store owner Adena Green had two different locations in town; one for women and another for the younger crowd.
She decided to merge the two locations into one larger store, which is located at 513 Seventh St. S.
“We had two stores: the kids store in front of Tractor Supply and the women’s store inside Shear Perfection,” she said. “I wanted to combine them so people could shop together for the women’s and girls’ items. So we put it all in one store.”
Green and her daughter started the business in 2015 inside of Shear Perfection.
“We started making T-shirts, and it just kind of grew from there,” she said. “We have been blessed since day one.”
Green began looking for a new location this summer, and in September Hope’s Chest Boutique moved into its new home. The new location is larger and offers more customer parking.
“It feels good,” Green said of being in her new location. “I’m excited. We have been blessed that so many people choose to shop here. The customers seem to like it better. They can shop in one place for their kids and themselves. I’m very appreciative.”
Hope’s Chest features an assortment of clothing and other items “for babies, girls, tweens and women.”
“We have jewelry and shoes as well,” Green said. “We have a little bit of everything from babies up through 3X.”
Members of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce were on hand as part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“We are excited to be able to recognize and help promote all of these new businesses,” said Rachel Brasher with the Chamber.
