Hoover K. Armstrong

Hoover K. Armstrong, 89, of Clanton, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Chilton.

He was born Tuesday, August 7, 1928, in Jefferson County, Alabama, son of the late Lee Roy Armstrong and the late Cora Bell Haynes Armstrong.

He was an electrical lineman.

Surviving are his daughters, Elise Armstrong of Clanton, Alabama, and Denise (Anthony) Orso of Marion, Illinois; grandchildren, Bart (Noah) Orso and Britta (Joey) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Gia, Lenix and Louie Orso; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Cora Armstrong; wife, Lavelle Grief Armstrong; sisters, Cleo Rogers, Hattie Lee Ward and Imogene Brooks; brothers, Haynes Armstrong and Willard Armstrong.

Friends will be received from 1:30 – 2 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2018, at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel.
