According to Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden, his office received a call around 9 p.m. March 1 about a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of Interstate 65.
“A motorist was traveling on the interstate Thursday morning around 8:45 a.m. and noticed a vehicle parked southbound near mile marker 135, near the rest stop. The motorist noticed the same vehicle was still there later that evening, so contacted authorities,” Harden said.
Harden said that upon arrival deputies found the vehicle with its headlights and blinker on. “Deputies found a white female unresponsive inside the vehicle, upon a check were able to immediately determine she was dead.”
Harden said the vehicle was a silver 2017 Ford truck with a Chilton County license plate. “At this point, we do not suspect foul play.”
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting results of a toxicology report to determine a cause of death. The identify of the woman has not been released due to notification of family.
