Two suspects are on the loose after an early morning armed robbery at M & H General Store in Verbena on Feb. 13.
The incident occurred between 5:15 and 5:20 a.m.
According to the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office, two white males entered the store with what appeared to be semi-automatic handguns and demanded money from the clerk before leaving in a small car parked on County Road 24.
They were allegedly headed in the direction of Cooper with a possible third party at the wheel.
The suspects are estimated to be approximately 5 feet, 8 to 10 inches tall. One suspect has brown eyes and possibly brown hair, according to Assistant Chief Deputy Shane Mayfield.
“Anyone having a better description of the vehicle or any information about the identity of the suspects is asked to contact the sheriff’s office,” Mayfield said.
