Tickets are on sale for the first-ever Raleigh’s Place Father/Daughter Banquet fundraiser, set for Feb. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raleigh’s Place dining facility.
“It’s just a fun evening for fathers and daughters [to] nourish those relationships,” Raleigh’s Place co-founder Sharon King said.
Attendance is $25 per couple and $10 for each additional child.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, although an RSVP by Feb. 16 is preferred.
Planned for the evening is a hearty chicken finger dinner with macaroni and cheese, green beans and dessert, music by DJ Antwaun Williams, fun activities and more.
A photo booth featuring a castle prop will offer opportunities for memorable pictures for fathers and their daughters.
The banquet is replacing the foster ministry’s annual adult prom event, according to King.
King said Raleigh’s Place was ready for a more unique fundraiser that could be hosted at the property while promoting its facility as a venue for local events.
“We think it’ll be great,” King said. “We think it’ll be better each year as we grow it, too.”
Like all its events, the banquet aims to raise money to support the nonprofit’s programs that benefit foster children and families, as well as adopted children and their families.
Raleigh’s Place programs include a children’s summer camp called Camp 1:27 and a clothing pantry called Katie’s Kloset. Both are located on the property.
Raleigh’s Place is located at 346 County Rd 1028 in Clanton.
