It’s off with the old and on with the new for Chilton Christian Academy’s, or CCA’s, gym floor. CCA is raising funds for a new gym floor, set to be installed July 27-29.

CCA kicked off its fundraiser for the floor June 29.

“We have raised just over half of the funds,” facilities manager Caleb Jones said.

Jones said the goal is to meet $60,000 by the first of August.

“If individuals would like to give,” Jones said, “we would be happy to accept donations in the office—GoFundMe charges 8%, so the more in-house, the better!”

Other donations can be made by going to CCA’s GoFundMe webpage called “Chilton Christian Academy NEW FLOOR” and clicking “Donate Now”.

All donations are tax exempt.

For the new floor, the GoFundMe webpage states, “We have chosen to go with Sports Court, Maple Select, with navy blue lanes and surrounding border.”

Installation of new volleyball equipment into the new floor will follow the Monday after the gym floor replacement.

“The old floor was installed in the early 90s,” Jones said, “and we are more than excited about the new floor and all the new renovations being completed at CCA this summer!”

According to Jones, other renovations in the church and school include remodeling, repainting and reflooring places such as bathrooms, entrances, hallways and classrooms.

“Our goal” Jones said, “is by first of August to have all the renovations complete.”

These changes to CCA help mark the 40th anniversary of the school. According to Jones, the school started in 1977 and is midway through its year of celebration.

“Our prayer is that we will continue to be a blessing to the community and surrounding areas for many, many years to come,” Jones said.
