Chilton County police arrested Jamie Lee Mallory without incident July 8 for first-degree burglary of a residence on County Road 456.

Mallory was arrested around noon on Enterprise Road when Chilton County deputies recognized the vehicle she drove to have been reported as unauthorized, Assistant Chief Deputy Shane Mayfield said.

Mayfield said Mallory entered the 1200 block of County Road 456 property earlier in the week, armed with a shotgun. She then “ransacked the residence, placed several items in a backpack, and it appears she intended to take them before noticing the surveillance system and fleeing the residence,” Mayfield said.

The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office thanks the Chilton County community for its assistance in the investigation.
