The 2017 Junior Miss Peach Queen is no stranger to the crown having been named 2011 Little Miss Peach and 2015 Young Miss Peach Queen.

Halle Sullivan was crowned the 2017 Junior Miss Peach Queen on June 20.

“It was a lot of pressure before, but I am very excited now that I have actually won,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan was also named the casual wear winner and the photogenic winner in the 13-year-olds category.

This was her first time competing for the Junior Miss Peach title. She said she is looking forward to do more things than when she was Little and Young Miss.

Sullivan’s involvement in pageants began when her mother began entering her in photogenic categories and pageants.

“To the next Junior Miss peach Queen, have the time of your life, smile big and always stay humble. This year will go by in the blink of an eye, so hold on to every memory and enjoy every second,” 2016 Junior Miss Peach Queen Grace Nolen said during her farewell speech.

2017 Junior Miss Peach Queen first alternate was awarded to Allison Giles. Giles also won Miss Congeniality. Saniya Underwood was named second alternate. Third alternate was awarded to Kassidy Payne. Fourth Alternate was awarded to Abbi Calhoun.

Photogenic winners were announced during the pageant.

As a demonstration of how funds raised during the Peach Festival and Pageant are used, the Clanton Lions Club presented a donation of $3,500 to Alabama Lions Sight, an organization that provides professional eye care to those who cannot afford it.

Clanton Lions Club also recognized Dr. James Driggars as the club’s Community Service Award recipient.
