Elizabeth Grace Hines

Elizabeth Grace Hines, age 15 of Clanton, passed away Monday, June 19, in Shelby County. She was born in Alabaster on Dec. 17, 2001, the daughter of Michael Kevin Hines and Amanda Collins.

She was a student at Chilton County High School where she just completed the 9th grade. She was on the honor roll, and was a former softball and volleyball player. She also played in the Clanton Middle School band. “Lizzie” was an independent young woman who was funny, loved music, and loved life.

She is survived by her father, Michael (Misty) Hines of Clanton; mother, Amanda Collins of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Michaela Hines of Clanton; grandparents, Danny and Laura Hines of Thorsby, Tony and Paula Thomas of Section, Mundi Fancher of Selma, and Chris Collins of Nashville, Tennessee; great grandparents, James and Wilma Hines of Prattville, David Bagby of Selma, and Nell Cummings of Thorsby; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Thomas, Rev. Randall Beagles, and Rev. Roland Hazel officiating. Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
