Lindy “Lynn” C. Gothard

Lindy “Lynn” C. Gothard, 80, of Jemison died Wednesday, May 10.

She was born on Saturday, March 20, 1937 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Reuben Chasteen and the late Ruby Lee Wyatt Chasteen.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Benita (Eddie) Chapman of Jemison; sons, David (Jody) Gothard of Montevallo and Michael (Martha) Gothard of Clanton; grandsons, John (Jessica) Gothard of Clanton, Andrew (Kirstie) Gothard of Davie, Florida, Jacob Chapman of Jemison, Chris Gothard of Fayettville, Arkansas, Kyle Gothard of Opelika, and Austin Chapman of Jemison; granddaughters, Katie (Steven) Andoe of Northport, and Sarah (John) Robinson of Jemison; great-grandson, Edi Andoe of Northport; great-granddaughters, Mallie Robinson of Jemison, and Lynley Andoe of Northport; brother, Roger (June) Wallace of Clanton; and sister, Doris Wallace of Jemison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Odett Gothard; son, Mark Alan Gothard; and brother, Edward Lee Wallace.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 11 at Mars Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held Friday, May 12 at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Johnson and Rev. William Earl Short officiating. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison.
