Oscar Raymond Sewell, age 90 of Maplesville, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 13 at St. Vincent Chilton Hospital in Clanton.

He was born n Chilton County on July 21, 1926, the son of the late Oscar Sewell and the late Bessie Wells Sewell. He was a farmer.

He is survived by his son, Roger Dale (Darlene) Sewell of Maplesville; son, Ronnie Joe (Nancy) Sewell of Clanton; daughter, Linda Dian (Jerry) Burt of Maplesville; son, Roland Earl (Peggy) Sewell of Prattville; son, Randal Lee (Nancy) Sewell of Maplesville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Mitchell of Sprott.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kittie Grace Sewell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Maplesville.
