Congratulations to the Thorsby Rebels (15-8) on another win at Indian Springs on Thursday night.
The Rebels were right on target scoring 65 points in their win, as their average for the year is 61 points per game.
They also took care of the ball on offense and had four less turnovers than average.
Hot shooting from Logan Patterson started the game off on the right track for Thorsby, as Patterson scored the first six points of the game off of assists from Bailey Sellers and Christian Fortner.
Although leading 38 -24 going into halftime, Indian Springs did not give up and battled back to cut Thorsby’s lead to only four points, as the third quarter came to a close.
Indian Springs came out in the fourth with strong full-court pressure, but was unable to produce any turnovers from the Rebels, as they kept calm and passed the ball through the press to find an open Jeremiah Bolling at the other end of the court for several easy buckets to open up the lead.
The Rebels finished the game up strong and took home a 65-55 win. Thorsby’s offense was led by Fortner with the game-high 27 points,10 rebounds and five assists.
Bolling also added 10 points and six rebounds, while Patterson and Noah Byrd each contributed eight points for the Rebels.
The 27 points by Fortner put him over the 1,000-point mark for his career, and the team celebrated with him after the game by presenting him with a game ball they all had signed.
