“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [are] thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled” (Revelation 15:1-8).
Thought for the week: “His Love”
“ I thought of you and said a prayer that God would keep you in His care. If you’re at home or in the car…His love surrounds you where you are. He is your friend and best of all…He’s never busy when you call.”

Worship service at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Jemison began with a praise service led by the men’s chorus. The theme of praise was “A New Beginning” from Revelation 21:1. Songs included, “Come and Go To That Land,” “He Said Jesus” and “I Know I’ve Been Born Again.” The scripture was read by Willie Nunn with prayer by Pastor Dukes, Willie Nunn and Carl Singleterry.
Pastor Dukes gave a tribute to our high school seniors, M.J. McKenzie, Donnie Bennet, Tinka Nunn and Salley Morrow.
Pastor Dukes’ morning message was from 2 Timothy 2:1-7. Paul’s instruction to young Timothy was written as Timothy prepared to go into the ministry. But what is life really like? Be prepared for the realities of life; your decision will determine the quality of your life. Life is not easy; there is positive and negative, good and evil, abundant time and lean time. Life is a struggle, if not one thing it’s another.
Read John 10:10. Have a daily relationship with Jesus. Let it show in your lifestyle. Life is like a classroom; it is a learning process. We learn every day. God teaches through examples daily, and we also learn from others.
To be prosperous, you need teaching. Know how to shake off bad things and keep the good. Let this be your motto: “Have a relationship with God; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
On our sick list this week we ask you to remember in your prayers Jerry Wilson, Margie Hardnett, Sam and Vivian Hicks, Robert Spence, Juanita Bryant, Flora Franklin and Lee Ann Worthey. May God heal, strengthen and keep them in his care is our prayer.
