Heather Elizabeth Ellis-Wood

Heather Elizabeth Ellis-Wood, 31, a resident of Verbena, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 5 at Zion Ridge Church of God in Clanton at 2 p.m. with Reverend Kenneth Lee officiating.

Heather was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Henry W. and Josephine Margaret Shirah; paternal grandparents, Charles, Sr. and Betty S. Ellis; one uncle, Tim Shirah; and one cousin, Emily Shirah Cordell.

She is survived by her loving parents, Chase and Leslie Ellis; one sister, Olivia JoAnna Ellis; three brothers, Daniel Harrison Ellis (Kristi), Matthew Gilbert Ellis and Jesse Nathan Ellis; one niece, Kaitlyn Ellis; one nephew, Brandon Ellis; fiancé, Kevin Kodya; extended family and many friends.

The family will receive friends one-hour prior to service at the church.
