Cathy Cheryl Pate Blackmon, 54, of Verbena died Saturday, Nov. 19.

She was born Sunday, March 25, 1962 in Clanton, daughter of the late Julius Wayne Pate and Glenda Faye Robinson Pate Mims.

Surviving are her husband, Samuel Lynn Blackmon of Verbena; daughter, Holly Blackmon (Ronnie) Echols of Verbena; son, Samuel Matthew (Ashley) Blackmon of Verbena; mother, Glenda Faye Mims of Clanton; grandchildren, Alex Price, Zack and Nick Blackmon, and Aaron and Cameron Echols; sisters, Angie (Jackie) Scarborough of Rockford, Julie (Mark) Mims of Maplesville, Tammy (John) Holcombe of Alabaster, and Kerri (Brandon) Blow of Jemison; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21 at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church.

Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Creek with Rev. Donald Short and Rev. Terry Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
