Wendy Mims Cox 

Wendy Mims Cox, 59, of Lillian, died Thursday, Aug. 11 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, Foley.

She was born on Monday, Feb. 4, 1957 in Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. William Wise.

She was a police dispatcher.

Surviving are husband, David Cox of Lillian; daughter, Chalane (Nathan) Mims of Clanton; son, Cris (Flo) Mims of Gulf Shores; grandchildren, Jasmine Mims, and Evelyn Mims; brother, Bill Wise of Selma; and sister, Cathy Nichols of Melbourne, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wise, and sister, Janet Howard.

Friends were received from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14 at Martin Funeral Home. Graveside service was held Sunday, Aug. 14 at 3 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, with Pastor E. C. Mims officiating. Martin Funeral Home directed.
