Leo Looney

Leo Looney, age 84, of Clanton, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 4 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born Feb. 7, 1932.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Agee Brothers Funeral Home in Clanton. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 13 at 12 p.m. at Clanton Church of Christ, Lay Dam Road with Bro. Greg DeJarnett officiating and Bro. Leo B. Looney eulogizing. Burial will follow in Agee Memory Gardens. Mr.  Looney will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service in the church.

Mr. Looney was an entrepreneur.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Willie Mae Looney, Clanton; children, Larry Looney, Clanton, Mary Ann Golson, Toledo, Ohio, Dorothy J. (Al) Giles, Riverdale, Ga., Leo B. (Debbie) Looney, Birmingham, Patricia Freeman, Jemison, Carl Freeman, Calera, Ramona (Paul) Williamson, Clanton, Wayne (Nedra) Looney, Clanton, Denise Looney, Clanton, Alanda Looney, Clanton, Cynthia (Nick) Williams, Birmingham, and Jackie (Greg) DeJarnett, Clanton; 29 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ellen Bell Looney; daughter, Carolyn Teresa Looney, and grandson Keino Reed.
