Jerry L. “Speedy” Lucas, 49, of Maplesville died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

He was born on Thursday, March 2, 1967, in Alabama, son of the late Leslie Lucas and the late Genie Mae Lovelady Lucas.

He was a truck driver.

Surviving are daughter, Adrianne Lucas (Jeremy Tyus) of Lawley; son, Drew Lucas of Maplesville; brothers, Thomas (Jan) Lucas of Montevallo, Roy Lucas of Maplesville; special friend, Donna Wright of Maplesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Lucas, mother, Genie Mae Lucas and brother, Fred Lucas.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, June 18 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Saturday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Ken Myers officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville.
