John Andrew Cannon, 63, of Clanton, died Dec. 28 at UAB in Birmingham.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1952, in Dale County, the son of the late Ralph Cannon Sr. and the late Grace Spurlock Cannon.

He worked in the Finance Department for the State of Alabama for 25 years and AT&T Montgomery office.

Surviving are his wife, Anita Cannon of Clanton; son, William G. Cannon (Amanda K.) of Deatsville; stepson, Geoffrey Johnson of Denver, Colo.; brothers, William Cannon of Ozark, Ralph Cannon Jr. of Ozark, Carroll Cannon of Ozark and sister, Brenda Morimoto of Smiths Station.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Dec. 31 at Providence No. 2 Baptist Church.

Services will be held Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. at Providence No. 2 Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Bonds and the Rev.Wayne Cobb officiating.

Interment will follow in Providence No. 2 Baptist Cemetery.
