William Edwin Borgstrom, 76, of Clanton, passed away on Sept. 18 at Shelby Medical Hospital in Alabaster due to surgery complications.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1939, in Pillager, Minn. to Pete and Lucille Borgstrom.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Worked as a printer all his life and retired from Ashland Oil Company in 1994.

He loved to travel and settled in Alabama six years ago.

He was a hunter, fisherman and woodsman and most of all he loved to cook.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol of Clanton; three grown children; and two grandchildren all of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

A memorial service will be Sept. 25 at Jemison First Baptist Church from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
