FRIDAY NIGHT PREVIEW: Panthers looking for progress

Jemison lost at Dallas County High School last week to fall to 0-3 on the season.
Unfortunately for the Panthers, there’s no break in sight as region play enters the stretch run.
Last week’s matchup was the first region game of the season for both teams.
JHS plays six region foes in the next seven games to close out the regular season.
The first hurdle is Friday’s game against Demopolis, a team that sits at 2-0 after a 27-0 win at Thomasville and a 42-23 win over region foe Calera.
Next week, Jemison hosts Calera before an open week.
The Panthers hope one early-season trend ends and another continues.
In order to hang around against the best in the region, JHS will need to score more points.
The Panthers have put up exactly six points in all three of its losses so far.
Who will win the Demopolis-Jemison game?
- Demopolis (83%, 43 Votes)
- Jemison (17%, 9 Votes)
Total Voters: 52
On the other hand, the Jemison defense has been able to decrease the amount of points allowed to the opponents each time it has taken the field.
Still, with those points totals at 42, 40 an 34, the Panthers still have a long way to go on that side of the ball also.
It will be difficult for Jemison to have success against Demopolis, but it will be important for the Panthers to show progress and position themselves to make a run in the second half of the football season.
