A fundraising banquet will be held July 30 in support of the annual En Fuego Music Festival.

The 19th En Fuego, which means “On Fire” in Spanish, takes place on Aug. 29 in Verbena. The festival is a one-day event where more than 10,000 young people of various backgrounds and denominations join together to worship and enjoy a variety of Christian music.

The fundraising banquet will include a silent auction and live auction. The doors will open and the silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s banquet speakers include Jon Walden, general manager of Revocation Radio, and Amy Hayes Naylor, a local attorney in Clanton who has an interesting story about her experience with En Fuego.

The dinner will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clanton fellowship hall. The church is located at 210 Sixth St. N. in Clanton.

Donations will be accepted at the banquet to help offset the cost of the festival. Donations can also be made by mailing a check to En Fuego Ministries, P.O. Box 248, Verbena, AL 36091 or online at enfuegoinfo.com/donate/.

Admission to En Fuego is free to all. The event has seen hundreds of students come to know Christ.

Gates will open at the event at 11 a.m. on Aug. 29.

Last year, a crowd of about 17,000 people gathered on a hillside in Verbena to enjoy a day full of God-centered entertainment.

The ministry’s growth is attributed to word-of-mouth and churches’ advertisement.

A line-up of musical entertainment includes Trip Lee, Humble Tip, O.B.B., 7Eventh Time Down, Travis Crim, J.D. “Iceman” Anderson and Wade Morris.
