Virginia Faye Stange Gay, 75, of Maplesville, passed away on June 22 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 31, 1940, in Verbena, the daughter of the late Herbert Morris Stange and the late Mitchell Irene Driver.

She was a waitress.

She is survived by her son, James “Bo” DeLoach (Kim) of Plantersville; daughter, Connie Smith (David) of Maplesville; grandson, Kevin D. DeLoach (Rebekah Beason) of Plantersville; granddaughter, Shea Watson (Brett) of Cary, N.C.; granddaughter, Jamie DeLoach of Maplesville; grandson, Josh Smith of Maplesville; granddaughter, Autumn Faye Smith of Auburn; great-grandson, Roman Hall of Maplesville; brother, J.E. (Lemerle) Driver of White City; brother, Mitchell (Sue) Stange of Vandiver; brother, Peewee Stange of White City;sister, Gail Cobern of Maplesville; sister, Jackie Brook of Clanton; and brother, Larry (Rhonda) Stange of White City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mitchell Irene Stange; husband, Donald Gay, and a brother, Donnie Stange.

Graveside services will be held on June 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
