Isabella recovered from a Game 1 loss to Jemison on Thursday night to win the volleyball match over their county rivals, 3-1 (19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-23).
The Mustangs (21-6) committed several unforced errors in dropping the first game but cut back on the mistakes in the next two games.
The visiting Panthers (25-8) held a 16-9 lead in Game 4 before a furious rally ended with Isabella players, coaches and fans celebrating.
Amber Wyatt paced the Isabella attack with 20 kills and six blocks.
Marlee Hayes and Heather Mason each assisted on eight points.
Allison Mims contributed four kills and six digs, and Jessica Maciel posted five aces and 10 assists.
Kimi Jones had five digs.
With Jemison’s regular setter, Kasi Wells, out with an injury, Tabatha Cork filled in at the position with 15 assists and four kills.
Dallis Vanderslice and Tanya Liveoak played solid defense, with eight digs and seven digs, respectively.
Haley Amos had five digs and five kills, and Shelby Griffin had seven kills and five blocks.
Codi Mims added six kills.
The Isabella junior varsity won 2-1 (25-18, 15-25, 15-8) to keep its record perfect for the year at 10-0.
