Edward Lamar Bryant, 53, of Verbena died Sunday, Sept. 21, at U.S. Steel in Fairfield.

He was born on Monday, July 24, 1961, in Gadsden, the son of Charles Bryant and Linda Brown Bryant.

He worked in maintenance at U.S. Steel.

Surviving are wife, Sandra Bryant of Verbena; daughter, Amanda Bryant of Verbena; grandson, Andrew James Bryant of Verbena; son, Joseph (Nicole) Bryant of Racine, Wis.; parents, Charles and Betty Bryant of Childersburg; brothers, Charles (Gloria) Bryant of Chattanooga, Tenn., Steve (Linda) Thomas of Millbrook; mother, Linda Bryant of Clanton; sister, Kathy (Wayne) Stephens of Jacksonville, Fla.; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Bryant.

Friends will be received from 2–3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony D. Smitherman officiating.
