Glenda Gail Jackson, 69, of Jemison, passed away Aug. 22 at UAB in Birmingham.
She was born on July 15, 1945, in Gadsden, the daughter of the late Guy Nichols and the late Myrti Ann Waldrop Nichols.
She was an owner/operator of Southland Escort Service.
She is survived by her sons, James Jackson (Lisa) of Jemison; Gary Jackson (Donna) of Jemison; daughters, Vickki Winslett (David) of Clanton; Tammie Basseghi (Tony) of Birmingham; eight grandchildren, Heath Jackson (Jennifer), Brandon Jackson, Bradley Jackson (Codi), Cole Jackson, Logan Jackson, Heather Smith (Derrick), Priscilla Winslett, Cyrus Basseghi; two great-grandchildren, Noah Smith, Braxton Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Jackson; sister, Louise Hooks; sister, Marie Alexander; sister, Francis McGalliard; brothers Charles Nichols, Gene Nichols and Murphy Nichols.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 23 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Jamie Spaulding officiating.
Interment will follow in New Harmony Primitive Cemetery in Lomax.
