The Chilton-Clanton Public Library is partnering with Senior Connection of Chilton County to hold free movie showings for seniors.
The movies will be shown at 10 a.m. every second Wednesday of the month at the library, which is located at 100 First Ave. N. in Clanton.
Chilton-Clanton Public Library Director Kelly Easterling said the effort is a cross promotion between the library and Senior Connection to offer seniors an outlet for watching movies.
“We think it will be a neat thing,” Easterling said.
Movies will be geared toward adults as opposed to children, mainly with PG-13 ratings, he said.
Senior Connection Coordinator Vanessa McKinney said about 40-50 people expressed interest in attending the movie showings.
The movies are open to anyone who would like to come but are primarily geared toward seniors.
The first movie showing is Wednesday, Sept. 10.
