James Bunyan Northcutt

James Bunyan “Jimmy” Northcutt, 75, of Jemison, passed away April 16 at his residence.

He was born on June 1, 1938, in Alabama, the son of the late Brasher Northcutt and the late Clara Thrash Northcutt.

He was retired from AB Rail Company.

Northcutt was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather whose world revolved around his family.

He enjoyed participating in field trials, running his bird dogs in competition.

Over the years, he made many, many friends across the country who also enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of this sport.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda G. Northcutt of Jemison; son, Jay Northcutt (Kristi) of Jemison; sister, June Simms (Dr. Phil) of Clanton; grandson, Hunter Northcutt (Ashley) of Jemison; granddaughter, Hannah Northcutt of Jemison; two great-granddaughters, Heidi Northcutt and Ella Northcutt, both of Jemison.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. April 18 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held April 19 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Allen Foster officiating.

Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery in Jemison.
