Vedie Clackler Lee, 88, of Clanton, passed away March 12 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
She was born on April 21, 1925, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Henry Popwell Sr. and the late Rosie Baker Popwell.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, Redie Clackler (Celestia) of Prattville; Rayford Clackler (Mary) of Verbena; daughters, Mavis Jones (Ollie Clyde) of Clanton, Mary King (Jim) of Clanton; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, James A. Popwell of Clanton, Early Popwell of Clanton, Marvin Popwell of Huntsville; sister, Vera Abbott of Selma.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, J.D. Clackler and Howard Lee; children, Raybon Clackler and Margie Fay Osburn.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. March 13 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held March 14 at 1 p.m. at Billingsley Church of God with the Rev. Wendell Kelley and the Rev. Mike Cleckler officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
