Emma Lonella Mims McClendon, 68, of Alabaster passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12.
She was born in Chilton County on Jan. 20, 1946, to the late Emma Lorene Coggins Mims and the late Curtis Absalom Mims.
Lonella was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vera Nell (Clyde) Mims Deavers; brothers, Billy Lawrence (Dorothy) Mims, Donald Rayburn Mims and Danny Curtis Mims; and a sister-in-law, Judy Melton (Troy) Mims.
Survivors include Lonella’s son, Ian Patrick McClendon; sisters, Elizabeth Yvonne Mims Reid and Deloris Judene (Harry) Tippett; brothers, Bennie Joel (Ozelle) Mims, Durward Wayne (Anita) Mims, Troy Oneal (Judy) Mims, Carl Guin (Rhonda) Mims, Ricky Layne (Betty) Mims, and Dale Lynn (Rene) Mims; special friends, Patti Chinn, Ethan Michael Stonecipher, Alyssa Renea Chinn, and Frank and Sheila Zito; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. celebration of Lonella’s life at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham.
Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham.
