Tickets are still available for Chilton County Senior Connection’s third annual variety show Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The show will be held at Clanton First United Methodist Church in the Helen Parrish Activity Center from 10 a.m. to noon.
This year’s Western-themed show will feature Southern humorist Darrell Sroufe as “Fuster Buskins,” as well as Senior Connection’s Perfect Peach Line Dancers.
Judy Headley will perform as country singer Reba McIntyre.
Senior Connection Coordinator Vanessa McKinney said the variety show would serve as the group’s primary fundraiser this year because the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run will not be held in Chilton County.
Proceeds will go toward purchasing equipment for Senior Connection’s future meeting place, which is expected to be a space in the Fred’s shopping center recently purchased by the city of Clanton.
The group currently meets at the Clanton Recreation Center.
“We hope to get started on renovating the new building around mid-October,” McKinney said.
Tickets are $7 each and include the show and a Southern fried chicken dinner with sides.
Tickets are available at Senior Connection.
