Robert Fulmer “Bobby” Martin

Robert Fulmer “Bobby” Martin, 67, of the Mineral Springs Community in Jemison, passed away on May 29 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Chilton County on Feb. 21, 1946, the son of the late Grady Martin and the late Leona Peters Martin.
He was a construction contractor.
He was an active member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where he was active in the church’s building programs and the Relay for Life Team.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elder Martin of Jemison; son, Robby Martin (Callie) of Jemison; son, Kevin Martin (Michelle) of Jemison; son, Jeff Elder (Kelley) of Mobile; son, Scott Elder of Mongtomery; son, Matt Elder of Pelham; grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Grant Martin, Wesley Martin, Patrick Dryer, Daniel Martin, Rilee Martin, Jake Elder, Ethan Elder, Sydney Elder and Addison Elder; brother, Charlie Martin (Joyce) of Clanton; sister, Sarah Nell Moton of Clanton; brother, James Martin (Kathy) of Helena and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his brother, Sylvester Martin; sister, Mary Alice Kromer; brother, Ed Martin; brother, Gene Martin; brother, Grady “Buddy” Martin and sister, Hilda Ruth Hayes.
Visitation will be held on May 31 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton
Funeral services will be held on June 1 at noon from Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating.
The body will also be in state for two hours prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Bobby’s memory to the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Relay for Life Team, 8316 County Road 51 in Clanton, 35046.
