Barbara R. Lampedecchio, 86, of Cambridge, Mass., and a current resident of Clanton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 25 at her residence.

She was born Barbara Elaine Russell on June 20, 1926 in Bangor, Maine, the firstborn daughter of the late Melvin Russell and the late Lillian Goodine Russell.

She was a long time clerk at the DMV for the city of Cambridge.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Lampedecchio; son, David Foss; grandson, Joshua Foss; great nephew, Wade Jackson and other brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Anita and Dale Jackson of Clanton, Jackie Jackson Broughton of Norcross, Ga., Michael Jackson of Centerpoint, Cyndi Simpson of Bangor, Maine, Kerri and Greg Lucas and family of Thorsby, Kevin and Theresa Jackson and family of Navarre, Fla., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends in Bangor, Maine and Cambridge, Mass.

She is also survived by her sister, Betty Jackson of Clanton; niece, Karen Elmore of Calera and nephew, David Jackson of Jemison.

A celebration of her life was held on May 28 from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

No graveside services were held.

The family gives a special thank you to the staff of Southern Care Hospice of Clanton and the staff of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home for all their help, concern and prayers.

Barbara was a very special person. She is very much loved and will truly be missed by everyone that knew her.
