Dear editor,

I would like to express my appreciation to all those who donated eyeglasses to the Clanton Lions Club’s recent drive, Mission for Vision, in support of the Alabama Sight program.

At the time of this writing, we have collected more than 100 pairs of eyeglasses at Martin Funeral Home and the Chilton County Probate Office. Many of these will be given away during mission trips to people who need them.

As I have said in the past, every little bit helps. Thanks to everyone, on behalf of myself, Bobby Martin and the Clanton Lions Club.
