Senior Connection held its first bingo game in its new home Wednesday, May 18.

The Senior Connection plays twice a month, in addition to various other activities such as exercising, field trips and movies once a month. Once housed at Chilton Medical Center, the group is now housed at Clanton Recreational Club.

“We just had our open house,” said Senior Connection Coordinator Vanessa McKinney. “We’re going to a hot air balloon festival June 17 in Foley. It’s an all day trip, and we try to do one of those every three months.”

McKinney said that to coincide with the new building, she hoped to have the group be more visible in community events.

“We’ll be more involved in more city activities in the future,” she said.
