A special Survivor’s Reception will be held prior to next Friday’s Relay For Life to honor those who have battled cancer.

The reception will be held April 29 at 5 p.m., an hour prior to the start of Relay, on the Clanton Little League Football Field (also the site of Relay).

Relay organizers ask that survivors remain at the site so they can help kick Relay For Life off with the touch Survivors’ Lap, which honors those who have defeated cancer, as the rest of the events participants cheer them on.

Chilton County’s Relay For Life will be held starting at 6 p.m. at Clanton City Park.
