Dear Editor,
The Chilton County Humane Society would like to thank everyone who helped make the Hogs-N-Dogs poker ride a success.
We had almost 30 riders and raised almost $800 for the shelter!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the many volunteers helping out, and we would like to thank them.
Special thanks to Mike Gautier and his wife, Sylvia, for organizing, promoting and setting everything up. Mike also walked us through this thing one step at a time and kept everything organized and running as smoothly as possible, and we are grateful for that.
I don’t think any of the riders went home empty handed, and we would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for donating prizes, making that a possibility: Top Notch Tattoo (Tom Cuthbert Jr.), Ruffy’s Grille, Beau’s Po Boys and Pizza, Verbena Farm Supply, Waffle House, Suds R Us (Tom Cuthbert), Magnolia Rose Café, Three Amigos Mexican/American Restaurant, Mowheads Lawn Equipment Sales and Service, Brenda and Crystal’s Barber Shop, Express Lube, Russell Do-It Center, Whataburger, Re-Tweeks Sewing Machine Service and Repair, My Cake Box (Jamie Morrison), Perfect Touch Auto and Detailing, Mor Lyn’s Fine Jewelry Gifts and Antiques, Pizza Hut, Second Chances Resale Store, Cornerstone Fitness and Wellness Center, C & C Trophy, Performance Powersports, Summer Classics, Janet and Jerome Mayfield, and 3-D Dogs.
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible. We look forward to doing it bigger and better next year!
Chris Driggers, Chilton County Humane Society
