Arlene B. Porch, 70, of Pelham died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1940, in Autauga County, daughter of the late Jessie F. Brown and the late Mildred Childress.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna (David) Gentry of Pelham; two sons, Dale (Candy) Gulledge of Marbury and Donald Gulledge of Alabaster; grandson, Corey Gentry of Pelham; three brothers, Willie Frank Brown of Marbury, Donald Ray Brown of Marbury and Jimmy C. Brown of Marbury; two sisters, Jeanette Armstrong of Marbury and Lois Jones of Andalusia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Porch.

Friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at Mt. Creek Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Creek Baptist Cemetery.
