Groups plan to line procession route to remember fallen officer

Fallen Jemsion Police Officer Josh Newman’s funeral will be Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at Jemison Municipal Complex. Burial will follow at New Hope Community Cemetery on County Road 42 East in Jemison. Food and refreshments will follow the services back at the municipal complex.
Several groups have planned to line the side of the road from the municipal complex to the cemetery and invite others to join them.
An “Officer Josh Newman Memorial Fund” has been set up at BB&T bank branches for the family.
