Bethany Baptist Church
“My Jesus, I Love Thee” was the song sung by a trio of Jeanette Jessop, J. C. Collins and Elaine Staton. Bro. Steve’s morning sermon was from Proverbs 18:22 and 19:14, “A Happy Marriage.” God instituted marriage in the Garden of Eden. A happy marriage is one founded upon God and it is God’s desire that both the husband and wife be saved. A happy marriage is framed in wisdom; prayers are hindered if the husband and wife are not living in wisdom. Also, it takes God’s love to make a home happy.
Sunday night, Bro. Steve’s message was from Hebrews 3:12-4:2 entitled “Faithlessness or Unbelief.” Some causes of faithlessness in a saved person are an erring or evil heart and a heart that has become hardened. Many blessings are missed and many years can be wasted. The cure for this faithlessness in a saved person is hearing the word of God, putting our faith in it and acting in response to God’s word in a way that is pleasing to Him.
Prayer list: Betty Biggs, James Bixler, Arnold DeLoach, Doris Glenn, Ernestine Hatch, Billie Neeley and Shirley Wallace.
See you Sunday!
Calvary Independent Baptist Church
We want to thank everyone for praying for this week’s revival. It was kicked off Sunday night with Bro. J.T. Meank preaching in the 5:30 p.m. service and it was awesome to be in the service. One young lady received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior Sunday night, and we are praying to see more lives changed for the glory of God as we go through this week.
Each night, services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Kevin Shaw will be preaching Monday and Wednesday nights, Bro. Matthew Brasher will be preaching Tuesday and Thursday nights. Friday night will conclude the revival services for the week with our senior Pastor Oscar Mims. We want to invite you to visit and be a part of any of our services here at Calvary.
