Jeff St.’s role keeps growing

The growth of Clanton’s campus of Jefferson State Community College has been nothing short of remarkable.
The latest sign of the that growth is the completion of the Economic Development Center, a facility that features a modern performance hall with seating for 608 people, a 13,000-square foot exhibit hall and three training rooms that can accommodate 24-40 people.
“All space is flexible; we can accommodate anyone from anywhere,” Sandy Stevens, EDC event coordinator, told The Clanton Advertiser earlier this month. “It has state-of-the-art sound, lighting and acoustics. The stage floor was built for dancers and performances, but everyone can use it. I love this facility, and I’m so proud to represent it.”
A ribbon-tying ceremony in celebration of the grand opening of the multi-purpose center will be held at 11 a.m. on March 1, and we encourage all local residents to attend and become familiar with the latest asset Jeff State is offering the community.
The college’s role here will only continue to grow in the future, so let’s take ownership of Jeff State now.
